FAQs

What do I need to bring when booking my cat in?

Please remember to bring the following:

  1. Vaccination card (all cats must be fully vaccinated to stay at the cattery)
  2. Veterinary and emergency contact details
  3. A suitable, secure, safe cat carrier (cats in cardboard carriers will be refused)
  4. Any prescription medications

Can I bring anything else?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your cat's favourite things to help them feel at home.

What will you feed my cat?

At Muchelney Cattery all our cats are fed twice a day (or more if requested by the owner) on high quality food. We stock Hills, Royal Canin, Purina, Iams, James Wellbeloved and Harringtons dry food. Whiskas, Felix, Sheba and gourmet wet food. Any specific diets not mentioned above and any special veterinary prescribed food should be provided by the owner. Enough food should be provided for their entire stay.

What happens if my cat becomes ill?

If a cat falls ill during its stay at Muchelney Cattery and needs veterinary treatment, they will be taken to their own vets as they hold all your cats medical records. If this is not possible, they will be taken to the cattery’s vet – Kingfisher Veterinary Practice in Martock.

Do you take un-neutered males?

Male cats over the age of 7 months that have not been neutered cannot be boarded.

Can someone else collect my cat?

If you require someone else to collect your cat/s, you will need to inform us in advance and we will need to see some identification before allowing them to collect.
